Alexis Wright and Cherry Knoll Farm Bring Home the Purple with Winning Heifers and Calves at 2016 State Fair of West Virginia ROV Angus Show

24-Aug-2016

Lewisburg, West Virginia – Aug. 24, 2016 – Alexis Wright stole the show during the 2016 State Fair of West Virginia ROV Angus Show, earning the Champion Angus and Reserve Supreme Heifer Overall with Cherry Knoll Elsa 1510.

“To me, Kate is one of a kind! She is so fun to show, and we make a great pair,” Wright said. “Cherry Knoll Farm, Bob and Margaret, and Tim have given my brother [Logan Wright] and I so many opportunities throughout the years. Our success in the show ring wouldn't be possible without them. We cannot thank them enough. I have met some of my best friends through showing with our Cherry Knoll family, and I wouldn't trade it for the world!”

During the heifer show, Wright showed Cherry Knoll Elsa 1510 to the Reserve Grand Champion Heifer. She also captured the Calf Champion with Cherry Knoll Elsa 1610, owned by Cherry Knoll Farm, and Wright continued her winning ways to take the purple ribbon in her class with Wright CKF Ellie 1594.

It was a special win for Wright, as she hails from West Virginia. “It was great to be at State Fair of West Virginia, although I love traveling to the different states, it was good to be home!” Wright smiled.
