Cherry Knoll Farm Closes Out MAJAC Show

West Grove, PA – March 23, 2015 – The Mid-Atlantic Junior Angus Classic (MAJAC) Regional Preview Show will go down in history as one of Cherry Knoll Farm’s best. The talented string of junior competitors, aligned with the fabulous breeding of the Cherry Knoll Farm cattle, was the perfect formula for success during the MAJAC Regional Show Preview.

Cherry Knoll Farm dominated the competition with 20-head of cattle, collecting 10 championship titles, including three Grand Champions and one Reserve Grand Champion.

During the Owned Heifer Show, Logan Wright showed Cherry Knoll Lady 1410 to the title of Grand Champion Female. His sister, Lexi Wright, went on to show Cherry Knoll Cheyenne 1449 to the Intermediate Champion Female, as well as capture the Late Junior Champion Female with Cherry Knoll Elsa 1430.

The Bred and Owned Heifer Show saw great competition from numerous competitors; however, it was the Fitzgerald brothers who made Cherry Knoll Farm proud. Bryce Fitzgerald was awarded the Grand Champion Heifer with Cherry Knoll Rosebud 1454, while Brody Fitzgerald won the Junior Champion Female with Cherry Knoll Powera 1419.

The Fitzgerald brothers continued to shine during the Bred and Owned Steer Show, where Bryce was presented with the Grand Champion Steer for his efforts in the show ring with Cherry Knoll Classen.

Logan returned to the show ring for the Bull Show, earning the Reserve Grand Champion Bull with Wright CKF Kay's Product. His efforts in the show ring earned him the Reserve Champion Junior Showman award, while barn mate Claudia Hissong was named Champion Senior Showman. Brody Fitzgerald finished out the show as the Reserve Intermediate Champion Showman.

“It was a great show,” Cherry Knoll Farm Cattle Manager Tim Fitzgerald said. “It was probably one of the best Cherry Knoll has ever had. Great kids won with very nice cattle, and it was a fun weekend for everyone. All of the kids had a blast, which is what this is all about.”
