Cherry Knoll Farm Earns Noteworthy Championship Titles at National Junior Angus Show

09-Aug-2018

West Grove, Pa. - Aug. 9, 2018 - In mid-July, talented junior owners throughout the United States gathered in Madison, Wisconsin, for the 2018 National Junior Angus Show (NJAS). Cherry Knoll Farm traveled from West Grove, Pennsylvania, to enjoy the competition with their team of juniors and quality cattle.

The Bred and Owned Heifer show kicked off the 2018 edition of the NJAS. Brody Fitzgerald returned to the NJAS with Cherry Knoll Lady 1481 after they won the Reserve 2-year-old Cow-Calf pair in 2017. This year, Cherry Knoll Lady 1481 captured the Grand Champion Bred and Owned Cow-Calf title with Fitzgerald.

Continuing the success for Cherry Knoll Farm was Jera Pipkin, who earned the Reserve Grand Champion Mature Owned Cow-Calf title with Cherry Knoll Lady 1467.

In addition to the team's other top class placings, Bryce Fitzgerald, Michael Butz, Hayden Weaver and Kiersten Baker were selected to represent Pennsylvania as members of the Pennsylvania fitting team.

"I was pleased with the results from NJAS in Wisconsin, especially the great placing of the Pennsylvania fitting team," Cherry Knoll Farm's cattle manager, Tim Fitzgerald, said. "Now we are gearing up for our fall sale on Oct. 24."

To wrap-up the outstanding show in Wisconsin, Madison Weaver was awarded one of the prestigious American Angus Auxiliary Scholarships, giving her the opportunity to compete for the honor of being crowned Miss American Angus in November at the National Angus Convention in Columbus, Ohio.

The Cherry Knoll Farm operation is managed utilizing time-proven beef cattle production practices combined with progressive genetics and technology. Unbeatable customer service and a reputation for honesty and integrity complete the Cherry Knoll Farm brand. Do not miss the opportunity to own the industry's top Angus cattle, bred with the philosophy of quality over quantity.
