Cherry Knoll Farm Shows Off Winning Ways at 2015 American Royal Angus Show in Missouri

Kansas City, Missouri – November 4, 2015 – Kansas City welcomed to town one of its foremost autumn events, The American Royal, where it is home to one of the oldest livestock exhibitions and professional rodeos in the Midwest, the world's biggest barbecue cook-off and the National Championship Saddlebred horse competition.

Cherry Knoll Farm set off from their home base in West Grove, Pennsylvania, to the Midwest to compete their cattle amongst the best in the industry in the Livestock Show, which ran from October 21 to November 1, 2015.

In the Open Heifer Show, Claudia Hissong showed Double C Rosebud where the talented pair won first place. Lexi Wright and her partner, Cherry Knoll Elsa 1510, swept the competition; they were named class winners and earned the Junior Heifer Calf Champion title.

In addition to Cherry Knoll Elsa 1510, Wright showed Cherry Knoll May 1449 to a fourth place finish in another class. David Smith and his Elsa heifer, sired by HSAF Bando, continued her success where she garnered fourth place in an Open Heifer class.

Cherry Knoll Lady 1467, a 1-year-old heifer by EXG RS First Rate, proved her maturity in two classes where she was awarded second place in both. In addition, Brody Fitzgerald and his Cherry Knoll Lady 1481, won both their classes in the junior and open shows. Bryce Fitzgerald also guided Cherry Knoll Rosebud 1454 to a third place victory in their event together.

The Bull Show saw Cherry Knoll Brigade 1404 and Brody Fitzgerald rise to the occasion, where judges declared them class winners and presented the duo with the Junior Champion Bull title.

Claudia Hissong showed Cherry Knoll Rosebud 1331 again with much success, but this time they entered the Cow Calf Show. Hissong and Rosebud left with a very respectable second place prize.

Cherry Knoll Elsa 1472 ended up in second place in the Junior Show with David Smith. Cherry Knoll Lady walked away with the first and second place ribbons.
