Laura Kraut is a leading light in the world of international show jumping. With numerous wins at many of the world’s most prestigious venues, Laura is also the longtime lead show jumping rider and trainer for Cherry Knoll Farms in Wellington, FL Laura and her partner, Nick Skelton, are responsible for finding, developing and competing Cherry Knoll Farm’s international showjumpers at the highest level of the sport.

A five-time Olympian, Laura made her Olympic debut at the Sydney Games in 2000. At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, she was a member of the gold medal team with her mount Cedric, who was later purchased for Laura by Cherry Knoll Farms.  At the Tokyo 2020 Games, she earned a team silver medal aboard Baloutinue. The pair returned for the Paris 2024 Games, securing another team silver and an eighth-place individual finish.

Her championship record includes multiple World Equestrian Games (WEG) medals. She helped the U.S. team win silver in 2006 with Miss Independent and competed in her third WEG in 2018, where she was instrumental in propelling the NetJets U.S. Jumping Team to a gold medal.

Kraut is also a veteran of FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ competitions. She was part of the winning U.S. teams at the FEI Jumping Nations Cup of USA and Mexico in 2023. That same year, she played a key role in the team's gold medal win at the Pan American Games, securing their qualification for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Based in Florida and Europe, Kraut runs a successful training business with British show jumping legend Nick Skelton.
